Scavenger Photo Hunt

A new blog so may-be time to have some new fun

Photography is something I love, even though the garden shots don’t show it. I came across this photo-scavenger hunt whilst looking at another blog. The idea is organised by the owner (name currently unknown) of the blog  I live, I love, I craft, I am me…

It looks like  a good excuse for getting out with my camera. So I thought as it is the 1st June I’d join in the fun.

My plan is to add the pictures for each word as I take them.

The plan failed and although I took most of the shots during June I failed to upload them until the deadline.

The words for June are/were:

Not my favourite colour and one I would have struggled to find a picture for but for the previous owners of my home. They planted this rose before I moved in and well over 20 years later it still blooms throughout the summer. I like this roses blooms best just as they start to open up.

Starts with a … T – Tattoos

I was lucky enough this month to get to work in a local studio with Richard so T simply has to be for tattoos. I rarely do portraits but Richard was a pleasure to work with and I will be returning in August to work with him again, although this time I think he will be wearing more clothes.

Another flower, this time a Delphinium I have just planted in my rehashed front garden.

Starts with a … G

G is for glass. In this case a wine glass that I shot a couple of months ago experimenting with strip lighting in my studio. It has a special place in my heart as it was the shot that won me my first competition at my local camera club.

Another one I struggled with until I remembered the summit of Silver How. The first Lake District summit my husband and I ever visited together.

My own choice

I spend a lot of my time in my studio photographing food and this shot took me longer to set up than it it did to shoot. Best of all upstairs, where my studio is, smelt of spice for days after.

This is my first go at this challenge and I found it quite interesting to have to think of subjects to fit a variety of themes.

Bring on next month.

  1. Good to see you joining in with the challenge and I hope to see more of your photo interpretations in the coming months. The wine glass shot is superb, and I love the colourful shot of the spices 🙂

  3. Great interpretations; your wine glass photo is amazing. The best one for me is the spices; so beautifully arranged and stunning colours. I think I was able to identify all the spcies! Ah, the smell must have been wonderful.
